Check in with your instructor if the weather is questionable!
We never let a little bit of weather get in our way and stop us from a day at the barn! As long as the roads are clear and our environment is still safe, we will continue to hold lessons unless otherwise stated here or notified by your instructor. If the weather is less then desirable for an outdoor lesson, your instructor will give a hands on, horsemanship-based lesson where students will still receive educational interaction with horses. Instructors will cover topics not able to be taught in a lesson such as health care and wound treatment, grooming, how to maintain tack, how to prep your horse for a show…etc.
Lessons will continue all winter long with our cozy fire pit for parents, heated barn and special helmet/face warmers for our students. We promise, the cold weather is worse for us spectators than it is for the riders and horses…once they get moving they start peeling layers
We understand that life happens and sometimes attendance for a lesson may not be possible. Our time is valuable and space limited so we ask for the courtesy at least 24 hours advanced notice in the instance you can not attend. If proper notification is not given then the full lesson price will be charged.
